Psalms 8:1 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Isaiah 45:20-25 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that SET UP THE WOOD OF THEIR GRAVEN IMAGE, and PRAY unto a god that CANNOT HAVE. Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time: who hath told it from that time: have not I the Lord: and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour;
there is NONE BESIDE ME. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and THERE IS NONE ELSE.
I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return.
That unto me EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, EVERY TONGUE SHALL SWEAR.
Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, and given him a NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME:
That at the NAME of Jesus EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth: And that EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS that Jesus Christ IS LORD, to the GLORY of God the Father.
The NAME OF NAMES «JESUS»
1) Highly exalted.
2) A name above every name.
3) Universal dominion.
4) Over everything in heaven.
5) Over everything on earth.
6) Over everything under the earth.
7) Absolute Lordship.
QUESTION: What is the only thing that God puts ABOVE HIS NAME?
Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and PRAISE THY NAME for thy lovingkindness and for THY TRUTH:
for thou hast
MAGNIFIED THY WORD ABOVE ALL THY NAME.
ANSWER: His WORD. (The written Word)
The following was writtenb by John Krinke, who teaches Greek at Heritage Baptist University in Greenwood, Indiana:
«I have never found a bad translation in the King James Bible. However, I do not try to judge the translation, because when I have in the past, after studying the passage, I am almost always blessed at the wisdom of the translators in handling not just the nuts and bolts of the grammar, but giving a context English word choice based accurately upon context which may reach back several verses! I chuckle at modern ‘scholars’ who think they can do a better translation.
The job of the consecrated pastor/teacher/Greek student is to teach the nuances which reside as precious stones just beneath the surface of our vernacular, but can be adequately expressed in our language by the FAITHful Bible exegete. Many of these things, I believe, are hidden to the individual who likes to doubt the plain language of God’s Word. That is why Bible Faith is an issue which MUST be renewed in Christianity if revival is to come. For if the preacher does not have an undoubting Bible Faith, the people to whom he preaches will not have a faith greater than their preacher!»
Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
