NOTE: The Apostle Paul Was A Minister To Gentile Churches. (Peter was not)
Acts 1:15-26 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,) Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels Gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take. Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that He was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of His resurrection. And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of THIS MINISTRY AND APOSTLESHIP, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon MATTHIAS; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the TWELVE APOSTLES OF THE LAMB.
NOTE: To qualify for the ORIGINAL MINISTRY AND APOSTLESHIP, (The twelve Apostles of the Lamb) the apostles had to have been in the company of the Apostles during the entire ministry of The Lord Jesus Christ beginning with the BAPTISM OF JOHN THE BAPTIST.
(They had to have been baptized by John the Baptist). They had to have been a witness of the RESURRECTION and ASCENSION of The Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I Timothy 1:1 Paul, AN APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
II Timothy 2:1 Paul, AN APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
QUESTION: The Apostle Paul DID NOT qualify as one of the ORIGINAL Apostles but was called, and indeed was, an Apostle; what were the callings of HIS APOSTLESHIP?
I Timothy 2:1-7 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is ONE GOD and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the MAN CHRIST JESUS; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Whereunto I am ordained a PREACHER, and AN APOSTLE, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a TEACHER OF THE GENTILES in faith and verity.
II Timothy 1:8-13 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Wherefore I am appointed A PREACHER, and AN APOSTLE, and a TEACHER OF GENTILES. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Romans 15:15-16 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ TO THE GENTILES, ministering the gospel of God, that the OFFERING UP OF THE GENTILES might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
I Corinthians 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of ONE BORN OUT OF DUE TIME. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
