Your question about Ted Bundy’s salvation is easy to answer yet very complex. Yes, if Ted Bundy was really remorseful of his sins and trusted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, he is in heaven and well he should be. There is no sin or combination of sins that can’t or won’t be forgiven if the person really repents and trusts in Christ Jesus.

Some of the FINEST AND GREATEST Christians who ever lived came out of the abyss of sin and degradation. The man, John Newton, who wrote the words, «Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound That Saved A Wretch Like Me,» was a thief and a murderer. The list would go on and on of the people who in our eyes don’t seem to deserve God’s forgiveness for the terrible sins they have committed, …yet:

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to them which are in Christ Jesus, …

Someone said, «If I knew ALL about you that God knows about you and you knew ALL about me that God knows about me; we would have no respect for one another.»

The problem and terrible sin of today is that people aren’t seeing themselves as real lost, hell bound, hell deserving, sinners, who are in need of a saviour; but instead are counting on their SO CALLED good works and clean living to eradicate their need for true God felt remorsefulness and, BY FAITH, trusting in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is THE GIFT OF GOD: (not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.

Knowing all this still doesn’t totally answer the question about Mr. Bundy. I said earlier, «if Mr. Bundy truly repented of his sins and trusted in Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord, he would be forgiven of his past and would have the gift of eternal life,» and this is totally true. The question now is, did he really do that or was he once again making a mockery of what is good and decent?

We read, in the New Testament book of:

Matthew 27:3-5 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, WHEN HE SAW that he was condemned, REPENTED HIMSELF, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief PRIESTS and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed THE INNOCENT BLOOD. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

We can see from these verses the problem with Judas’s repentance, firstl of all, he wasn’t sorry until he was caught, (when he saw he was condemned) secondly, he repented or tried to clean up himself, (repented himself) and thirdly and the most serious, he confessed his sins to man and not to God (said to the priest and elders, «I have sinned.») A man will never have true peace with God by confessing his sins to a man, ANY MAN. Why would Judas go out and hang himself if he had peace of mind about his sins and knew he had made himself right with God?

Mr. Bundy showed no remorse until the last few days of his life, until then he put on quite a show knowing he was a vicious and ruthless killer. He confessed many of his killings to man but only God knows if he really poured out his heart to Him. I did not hear him claim The Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. When he died he did not SEEM to have any REAL peace about the forgiveness of his sins or of his future. Â Only God knows.

If Mr. Bundy is in heaven, I will gladly take my place beside him as a sinner SAVED BY GRACE.

I am honored that you respect my opinion. I hope this helps.

Keep looking up

Yours in Christ Jesus
