I Peter 3:12-18 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:

and BE READY ALWAYS TO GIVE AN ANSWER TO EVERY MAN THAT ASKETH YOU A REASON OF THE HOPE THAT IS IN YOU WITH MEEKNESS AND FEAR:

Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ, For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the JUST for the UNJUST, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:…

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the JUST for the UNJUST, …

QUESTION: In the above verse, who is the JUST and who is the UNJUST?

II Corinthians 5:20-21 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, WHO KNEW NO SIN;

that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Christ without sin

Hebrews 4:12-16 For the WORD OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, YET WITHOUT SIN.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Man without hope

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is NONE righteous NO NOT ONE.

Romans 3:23 For ALL HAVE SINNED and COME SHORT of the GLORY of God.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is NOT a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth NOT.

Romans 5:6-10 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath THROUGH HIM. For if, when we were ENEMIES, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

ANSWER: Christ is the JUST, man is the UNJUST.

There is total and absolute forgiveness of sin in Jesus Christ,

apart from Jesus Christ there is no forgiveness of sin.

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
