Titus 3:5-7 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us,

BY THE WASHING OF REGENERATION,

and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace,

WE SHOULD BE MADE HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.

NOTE: The word «Regeneration» in the book of Titus refers to the

NEW BIRTH of THE BELIEVER

by the Holy Spirit, in connection with the first coming of Christ to die.

Acts 1:6-7 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying,

Lord, wilt thou at this time
RESTORE AGAIN
the kingdom to Israel?

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Matthew 19:27-30 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you,

That ye which have followed me,

IN THE REGENERATION

when the Son of man shall sit in

THE THRONE OF HIS GLORY,

ye also shall sit UPON TWELVE THRONES,

judging the TWELVE TRIBES OF ISRAEL.

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

QUESTION: The word «Regeneration» is used only twice in the Scriptures. How is it applied in the book of Matthew?

NOTE: THE THRONE OF HIS GLORY always refers to the EARTHLY THRONE OF DAVID

Matthew 25:31-46 When the Son of man shall COME IN HIS GLORY, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon THE THRONE OF HIS GLORY:

And before him shall be gathered all nations:

and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father,

INHERIT THE KINGDOM prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

John 14:1-11 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you.

I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE for you.

And if I GO AND PREPARE A PLACE for you,

I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him,

I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME,

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and HAVE SEEN HIM. Philip saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me HATH SEEN THE FATHER; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, HE DOETH THE WORKS. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

QUESTION: What is this PLACE that our Lord is PREPARING for the born again Christian?

Revelation 3:11-12 Behold I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and

the name of the city of my God,

which is new Jerusalem,

which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 21:1-27 AND I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city,

NEW JERUSALEM, coming down from god out of heaven,

PREPARED as a bride adorned for her husband.

NOTE: This city is not the bride but is prepared AS A BRIDE! A woman might be prepared AS A ROSE for her wedding but she is not a rose.

QUESTION: If God created the heavens and the earth in six days (and He did) how can there be evidence that stars are millions of light years away?

Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Isaiah 44:24-27 Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb,

I am the Lord that maketh all things;

that stretcheth forth the heavens alone;

that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up the rivers:

Isaiah 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands,

have stretched out the heavens,

and all their host have I commanded.

Isaiah 51:13 And forgettest the Lord thy maker,

that hath stretched forth the heavens,

and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

Jeremiah 51:15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

Zechariah 12:1 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

QUESTION: Why did God create the earth and the heavens?

Psalms 115:15-16 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

II Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:

for thou hast created all things,

and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

NOTE: Those who come back with Christ to help set up His Millennial Reign will come riding on the backs of White Horses. Therefore there will be horses in heaven during this time.

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

NOTE: During the Millennium the following will be take place:

Isaiah 11:1-10 And THERE SHALL COME FORTH A ROD OUT OF THE STEM OF JESSE,

and a BRANCH shall grow out of HIS ROOTS:

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

But with righteousness shall he JUDGE THE POOR, and REPROVE WITH EQUITY for the meek of the earth:

  • and he shall SMITE THE EARTH: with THE ROD OF HIS MOUTH,
  • and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
  • The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
  • and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
  • and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
  • and a little child shall lead them.
  • And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together:
  • and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
  • And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp,
  • and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

II Peter 3:9-13 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

QUESTION: The Bible speaks of how many heavens?

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them,

Psalms 8:1 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Psalms 50:4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

Psalms 57:5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalms 57:11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

Psalms 108:5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

Psalms 113:4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Psalms 115:15-16 Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

Jeremiah 4:28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black; because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Ephesians 4:8-12 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

He that descended is the same also that ascended up

far above ALL HEAVENS,

that he might fill all things)

1. Salvation cannot be lost because:

Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace that cannot be mixed with works.

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Titus 3:3-8 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not of works of righteousness that we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantlly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitabloe unto men.

Romans 3:19-24 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:4-6 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

A gift means I receive something I do not earn; it refers to something that it absolutely free and unmerited. How can a true gift be taken away? If it can be taken away, it ceases to be a gift!
